  1. I want to share a Printer connected to a PC with our TCP/IP based WorkStations.
  2. Could someone give me a pointer on WINSOCK software to do the Job.
  3. BTW: I'm using WFWG 3.11

  24. I was trying to get Winsock to work with PPP.  I get the packet driver
  25. loaded (PPP) and get an IP address assigned.  I am able to load VPKT.COM at
  26. 0x60 no problem. When I start windows and tcpman I get an error, something
  27. along the lines of "the packet driver is not of type (1) ... or (6) SLIP."
  28. Can I use PPP with winsock? Do I have the latest version? Any insight would
  29. be helpful...

  54. I have a request.... I'm doing an undergraduate honors thesis on "Usability of 
  55. Interfaces."  I was wondering if anyone would like to share with me some of 
  56. the reasons why they (or their organization) are switching to Windows-based 
  57. internet access, and why they picked the applications they have picked...
  58.  
  59. Hopefully, because, despite all the problems this newsgroup sees, it's because 
  60. it really is an amazing set of programs!  (Kudos to all the underpaid 
  61. programmers who produce it!!) 
  62.  
  63. If you could just mention a few reasons why you and the users around you 
  64. prefer it, and what you switched from, I'd be extremely grateful. 
  65.  
  66. And, if I get a "statistically significant" number of responses, I'll post a 
  67. top 10 list....
